Welcome to Survival & Small Business Resiliency
Hello & Welcome to the Survival & Small Business Resiliency BLOG!Purpose: An area to post and receive commentary on BCM, BCP, Disaster Recovery subject matter relating to SMALL BUSINESSES. Many large companies have some level of continuity established, some have plans, some even have staff dedicated to this function of protecting the people and the company from disasters and other interruptions of business.
Small businesses usually don't, but they can do some things at a reasonable cost and have some plans on how to protect their people and their business. As a small business owner you do not have to succumb to a disaster, or other smaller, but very disastrous situation. A leaky pipe should not be the end of your business. A small fire should be an inconvenience, not a show-stopper for your small business.
Why don't more small businesses have plans? They think it is expensive - and - it can be if you don't research it first. Spending a bit more time to find out what is available for FREE, or at a very low cost is well worth your time. It will also save you money in the long run.
This blog will contain information, for FREE, for SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS - it is not designed for big business folks, although they may actually garner some good information.
I look forward to helping each of the small business owners learn and decide on what level of protection they need and can afford for their business. For people who fully depend on their business to generate their primary income, I urge each of you to carefully analyze your business and work hard to ensure that you have put the right protections in place.
Sincerely,
James Marchetti, CBRM
